ABOUT

I am a nature photographer and have been a teacher, musician, painter and textile artist.  The spirit of nature envelops me.  I love the skies and the weather, trees and flowers, animals large and small - and lately the beautiful birds near my winter home.

My photographic eye draws on my experience with line, color and composition.  Since I received my first box camera at the age of 10, I have especially enjoyed capturing the light from Florida to South Africa and Tanzania.  Not surprising after having grown up where the winters are long, cold and grey.

I often use my photographs as an inspiration for paintings and quilts.
